Star Wars Cat!

I was working on an animation when my cat walked in front of the blue screen. I took advantage of the situation and placed the Star Wars Teaser in the background. This is my result.

Blue Screen

I have been trying to improve at my animating skills, but they are still terrible. That 24 frames per second rule is really a killer. As I have been animating it made me think about time and reality in a different way. More about that in a different blog http://randomthoughtthursdays.blogspot.com/. Recently I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements and made a blue screen stop motion animation. I know it is bad, in fact it is terrible, but I did not know how to light a blue screen properly.
For the blue screen I used a long sheet of blue paper that you can purchase at your craft or art supply store.

worst and best economy car

I really like how the LEGO Movie captures the medium in probably one of the best possible ways. A very fun (and insightful) part of the movie is when the master builders are building the submarine and each master builder adds a different and distinct style to the submarine.
For the purpose of science, I thought I would test this out with a friend and see what we would come up with. As you can see the LEGO movie was not that far off.

I built the chasse with the wheels that had suspension and the jets on the back the car. My friend built everything else.
This is a fun game to play with other LEGO hobbyists.
The rules are simple:
1. Decide what you are going to build. If it is a car, flying vehicle, or other.
2. Each work on a separate section.
3. Attach all the sections together as best you can.
You will be amazed at what you come up with.

My Post-Apoc

In my opinion, post Apocalyptic builds are just plain silly. The sea dries up? What? Zombie Apocalypse? Alien invasion? These ideas are just preposterous. The sea is so incredibly huge that a significant amount of water would have to be drained in order for their to be a slight drop in sea level. A zombie apocalypse is just plain impossible. As far as intelligent life, the only way it could reach earth is through the fifth dimension of hyperspace. The chances of an alien invasion are practically impossible.
Enough of that, on to the build

This is the type of apocalypse that is most probable, losing power. Almost everyone has experienced a power shortage sometime or another.

Oh no! a cat-astrophe

After carefully assembling my creation and after collecting all the necessary tools for photography, a dear fuzzy monster disturbed my peaceful work. That is right, my four or so month old kitten decided to disrupt a nice picture.
I was thinking, their are many nicely greebled spaceships and vehicles, but not that many castles. Sure you have the  castles that are so  heavily greebled, that they look almost ugly, but not a normally greebled castle. In this MOC I tried to reach that middle point of just the right amount of greebles.
And please support my LEGO Ideas project here if you have already supported, please share.

New LEGO Ideas Project

To start off, I have finished my LEGO Ideas project. It is acapsule supply spacecraft. My goal was to make it look more realistic and less whimsical. Please support here.

Do you know how hard it is to build a octagonal spacecraft? It took me at least a month to construct from start to finish.
I did not add this in the project page, but if you assemble the cargo in the right it creates a buggy.
I did not add this feature to my project page, because in order to assemble the buggy, you have to employ some illegal piece techniques.

Battle of Five Armies

The Battle of Five armies would have been a great movie if it was not supposed to be based off the Hobbit. One of the most annoying things about the whole trilogy is the love triangle.
I tried to some up my thoughts about it in this animation I made.
Please excuse my poor animating (I think there is more stop than motion in this film).
I soooooo wanted to shout this out in the movie theater.

Simpsons Minifigures: Again?

I thought that I could finally wave the Simpsons ado, but oh no the LEGO company just had to make more Simpson products. AUGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!
Let me do a medical breakdown so that you too can feel my utter frustration at the LEGO Simpson minifigures. I will call the figures by the rows because I have no idea who any of the Simpsons are, except for Barf or Bart or something like that.
- 4,4 head too high, either brain tumor or serious brain injury.
- 3,4 Probably has Graves Disease which is caused by an overactive thyroid causing his eyes to bulge.
-2,4 and 1,4 all I can say is poor ladies. If I make the assumption that the purple mass on their head is organic matter, then either they have a series brain tumor or their brain has exploded.
-4,3 Lets just say that Barf's face has chocolate on it and he does not have gingivostomatitis which is the inflammation of the gums.
-3,3 I am diagnosing this guy as having the top of his head cut off and billions of  Dermestidae, which is a brown larvae, eating the rest of his body.
-2,3 Everything checks out on this one and on 1,3.
Phew! I hope I ruined the Simpsons for you. I know it did for me.
LEGO Collectible Minifigures - The Simpsons Series 2

We are experiencing some technical difficulties which are being resolved which is a reason why I have not been posting. I will hopefully be posting more on this blog.
